Bo Bikes Bama coming to Auburn April 30

In April 2011, 359 tornadoes ripped through Alabama killing 322 people and causing $11 billion in damages. As a native Alabamian, Bo Jackson wanted to help the recovery process which is still ongoing and contribute to the construction of shelters for future natural disasters through Bo Bikes Bama.
The fifth annual Bo Bikes Bama will be Saturday, April 30, starting and finishing at the Auburn Arena for participants who want to ride 60 miles or 20 miles. A silent auction for donated signed memorabilia and other items will be held Friday, April 29, from 7-9 p.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. To register for the ride or to make a donation, visit the website. Funds will go to the Alabama Governor's Emergency Relief Fund, which repaired hundreds of homes and constructed 63 community storm shelters.
Bo Bikes Bama began in 2012 as a five-day, 300-mile bike ride following the tornadoes' path. In 2013 the fundraiser was hosted in Cordova, one of the hardest hit areas. The event was held at Auburn University in 2014 and 2015 as well.
