Camp iCare 2016 is a summer day camp that teaches children ages 6-12 to be financially responsible and philanthropically engaged by providing fun and interesting activities and speakers to campers. The National Endowment for the Humanities, through its new Dialogues on the Experience of War grant program, has awarded a $74,127 grant to the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University. The grant will fund six reading-discussion programs in communities across Alabama, as well as two semester-length courses offered in the state's correctional facilities.

But each spring, as delicious shades of orange, yellow, purple, red and pink appear throughout campus, one can be reminded of a lesser-known university tradition with roots extending many decades into the past – the tradition of preserving and hybridizing Auburn's native azaleas for future generations to enjoy.
