Auburn University Theatre is presenting the 2015-2016 annual dance performance, "Dancing on the Edge," opening March 31, at 7:30 p.m. on Telfair Peet Theatre Main Stage and running through April 3. Conceived and directed by Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey, both Department of Theatre faculty in the College of Liberal Arts, "Dancing on the Edge" celebrates bodies in motion from modern to tap to aerial dance.

"'Dancing on the Edge' is an exploration through movement of what it means to be 'on the edge,'" Wilson said. "On the edge of discovery, on the edge of insanity, on the edge of a cliff, on the edge of society….through various dance genres, the choreographers have crafted movements that fly, leap, spin, glide, float, stomp, spiral and fall. Come be inspired, be curious – come to the edge!"

The performance features lighting and projection design by Fereshteh Rostampour and assisted by Afsoon Pajoufar. "Dancing on the Edge" will be performed by the Auburn University Dance Ensemble, which includes Chloe Chaudhury, Medora Pepper, Ashlie Lauderdale, Erin Conway, Anslee Palmer, Emily Baade, Allie Dyleski, Hannah Barnett, Connor Dealy, Anne Nelson, Arlene Maheu, Elizabeth Weyerman, Erin Walsh, Emily Squier Bonts, Jordan Lunstead, Elizabeth Pariseau, Arlene Maheu, Sydney Holpp, Charlotte Sadar, Katie Marberry, Jenna Dickey, Allie Dyleski, Cassidy Dear, Caroline Helms, Morganne Roark and Elizabeth Stanbrough.
