Keshia Knight Pulliam from 'Cosby Show' to speak at Auburn University

Keshia Knight Pulliam will be the keynote speaker for the Multicultural Center's Women's HERstory Month event Wednesday, March 9, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom at Auburn University. The event is free and open to the public.

Pulliam, a graduate of Spelman College and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., will discuss following your passion and her path to success.

Known for her role as Rudy Huxtable on the hit sitcom "The Cosby Show," Pulliam has established an eminent career as an actress, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her work on The Cosby Show garnered several NAACP Image Awards, Young Artist Awards, a People's Choice Award, a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award and a host of other honors.

Most notably, she remains the youngest actress ever nominated for an Emmy Award for best supporting actress. Additionally, Pulliam is a blossoming mogul with her own Atlanta-based production company, Kizzy Productions, and is the founder of Kamp Kizzy, a nonprofit organization for young girls.

The event is sponsored by the Community and Civic Engagement Initiative in the College of Liberal Arts, the Office of University Writing and ePortfolio Program, the Division of Student Affairs, the Women's Center and the Women Studies Program.
