Office of Sustainability launches Sustainability Story 2014

The Office of Sustainability has launched Auburn University's Sustainability Story 2014. This online presentation provides an overview of the efforts Auburn's campus is making to enhance all areas of the university's mission: research, instruction and outreach, and how sustainability initiatives are being implemented throughout the university's operations and programs.

"These stories provide a snapshot of some of the initiatives happening at Auburn," said Mike Kensler, director of the Office of Sustainability. "The Office of Sustainability hopes they serve as inspiration and a reminder of the ability we have as individuals and a community to contribute to a more sustainable world."

Descriptions, facts and photos of a wide range of sustainability efforts were collected from the colleges, departments and units across campus. These programs, initiatives and people represent the passion and commitment to sustainability that exists within the Auburn Family, both on campus and around the world.

"This is the first time we've pulled together our story in such an accessible way," Kensler said. "Now anyone with a few minutes to spare can get a good sense of Auburn's commitments and the breadth of activities being undertaken to fulfill those commitments."
