Auburn University's fourth annual All In, All Pink event to promote breast cancer awareness will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Student Center green space. The Office of the Vice President for University Outreach, in collaboration with The Office of Public Service, Kappa Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, will host the event. All students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend.

"Auburn University Outreach is pleased to be working with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Alpha Delta Pi as well as several community partners on raising awareness and celebrating life, as it relates to this very important health issue," said Royrickers Cook, assistant vice president for University Outreach. He said the event serves as a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community and honor breast cancer survivors and victims while raising awareness about ways to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.

Festivities will include food, giveaways and entertainment provided by the Auburn University Gospel Choir and the AU Rhythm Dance Troupe. A brief program will conclude with an All In, All Pink group photo and balloon release in honor of breast cancer survivors and victims.

Guest speakers are Dr. Fred Kam, medical director for the Auburn University Medical Clinic; Stephanie Carroll, a breast cancer survivor; and Kristeen Knight, a mother, wife, survivor and advocate.

Campus and community partners include the Auburn University Chapter of Student National Pharmacy Association at the Harrison School of Pharmacy; the Department of Chemical Engineering; the School of Nursing; Harold A. Franklin Society; Joy to Life Foundation; Living Beyond Breast Cancer; and Equal Access Auburn, Pack it up Club and Phi Delta Chi Leadership Fraternity, all in the School of Pharmacy.
