AU Swing Dance Association, or AUSDA, is hosting the fifth annual Lindy Hop on the Plains, a workshop dedicated to creating welcoming learning environments for all dancers,
especially beginners. Lindy Hop is a partnered dance that allows for a great amount of improvisation and creativity. This dance forms the core of swing dancing at AUSDA and around the world. Skilled instructors will be available to help students learn the Lindy Hop dance in the classroom to take to the social dance floor. The Moonshine Rhythm Club from Nashville, Tennessee will provide live music during the Friday night and Saturday night main dances. Auburn students who have never attended the event can register for $35. Students who have attended the event can email to see if they qualify for the discounted rate.
