Feb. 21 is Auburn University’s Tiger Giving Day– a 24-hour crowdfunding effort at The event highlights unique projects that need help reaching their single-day fundraising goals.

This year’s projects range from acquiring an Auburn-branded Steinway piano for the new Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center, with an opportunity for donors to sign their names on it, to purchasing equipment for the Auburn University Libraries’ Archives. This equipment is needed to digitize outdated reel-to-reel tape recordings, including a notable speaker series from the 60s and 70s that featured Muhammad Ali, Edward Kennedy, Vincent Price, Barry Goldwater and Ralph Nader, among others. Many of the historical recordings have not been heard since they were first recorded on campus during that time period.

Any gift made by faculty and staff to any Tiger Giving Day projects automatically count as participation in the 2018 Faculty Staff Campaign. Gifts can be made on the Tiger Giving Day website.
