The Center for Health Ecology and Equity Research Spring 2018 Seminar Series continues Mar. 22 in 144 Spidle Hall from 3-4:30 p.m. Gene H. Brody, the Regent’s Professor of Child and Family Development and director of the Center for Family Research at the University of Georgia, will present "Resilience to Adversity and the Early Origins of Disease." This event is free and open to all.

Brody, an internationally renowned researcher on family, community and genetic contributions to child and adolescent development, will discuss his research examining the impact of stressful experiences among rural African American youth on the development of disease. Following the lecture, the Center for Health Ecology and Equity Research will recognize Brody’s contributions to health disparities research by presenting him with the inaugural Annual Health and Social Equity Speakership Award. Reception with light refreshments to follow in 244 Spidle Hall.
