The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI at Auburn, will host Carol Daron for her lecture “Much Ado About Nothing” for the Wisdom Wednesdays series March 7,from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, 901 S. College St.

This presentation will explore the structure and theme of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” and concentrate on how he adapted a melodramatic and humorless Spanish tale into a successful comedy.

Daron taught in the Department of English at Auburn for more than 30 years, and served as director of the Ascent of Man/Human Odyssey science-humanities course sequence. She served as assistant provost for undergraduate studies until her retirement. She has been an OLLI member since 2006.
