Notice body

Campus Safety and Security will host the first of three Campus Security Authority, or CSA, training sessions for the spring on Wednesday, March 7, in the training room of their newly remodeled facility on West Magnolia Ave. Other CSA training sessions will be offered on April 11 and May 2. Training will begin at 10 a.m. and lasts approximately one hour.

It is recommended to take a CSA training if it has been longer than a year since attending the last session. Those with access to Fast-Train may register online, otherwise email to Mike Adams to reserve a seat.

CSAs are individuals with responsibility to report crimes for inclusion in the university’s annual crime statistics report to the U.S. Department of Education and locally-maintained crime log. A CSA is anyone with significant responsibility for student and campus activities. Advisors to student organizations and study abroad program leaders are examples of CSAs.

All employees are welcome to attend the training even if not formally designated as a CSA or if your role does not currently meet the Clery criteria, but may do so at some point in the future.

For questions regarding the training, contact Mike Adams at 844-2207.
