Phi Alpha Theta and the Department of History in the College of Liberal Arts are collecting family hygiene and baby food products to benefit the Food Bank of East Alabama.

"This alliance grew out of our organization’s dedication to service, and to draw attention to the growing need for these products because most—diapers and feminine hygiene products, in particular—cannot be purchased with government assistance funds," said Heather Haley, president, Phi Alpha Theta (Kappa Pi Chapter) and doctoral student in the department of history.

Unexpired baby food, baby wipes, diapers (all sizes), formula, baby bottles and nipples and feminine hygiene products (including pads, tampons and liners) will be collected until March 30. These items may be delivered to Heather Haley in 304 Thach Hall. All donations from the collection will be distributed to families in need in Lee County.

For more information, contact Heather Haley.
