The Auburn University Music Project is hosting an informational night on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in 102 Goodwin Hall. The Auburn University Music Project provides group music lessons for beginner wind, brass, percussion and orchestral string students. Wind, brass and percussion classes are designed for students in grades 5-6 and string classes for students in grades 3-5.

The classes follow the Auburn academic calendar and meet twice a week for 90 minutes over a 12-week semester. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center beginning Jan. 23. Tuition for wind, brass and percussion classes is $150 per semester, plus instrument rental. A limited number of partial financial scholarships are available based on demonstrated need.
