The Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies in the College of Human Sciences is hosting an open house event and tour of its national headquarters, the Halliday Cary Pick House located at 360 N. College St., Thursday, Dec. 14, from 3-6:00 p.m. in honor of Alabama Day, the state's birthday. The Halliday Cary Pick House was built in 1848 and is one of the oldest remaining structures in Lee County.

This open house and tour is an endorsed tribute of the Alabama Lee County Bicentennial Committee which works in tandem with Alabama 200, the three-year commemoration of the people, places and events honoring the state's bicentennial.
