Human Resource Development will offer more than a dozen courses in November, including two courses related to Microsoft Office 2016.

  • “Introduction to PowerPoint 2016” will be offered Nov. 14-15 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day. AU employees who would like to learn the fundamentals needed to create and modify basic presentations by using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2016 are encouraged to take this class. Participants will explore the PowerPoint environment and learn to create, edit and share presentations. They will format text on slides to enhance visual appeal, add graphical objects to slides to present information more concisely and learn to work with transition and animation techniques to add excitement to presentations.

  • “Microsoft Word 2016 Intermediate” will be offered Nov. 28-29 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day. This course covers using styles and section breaks, along with working with tables, columns, graphics, the mail merge helper and more. It also covers creating an index and a table of contents. Anyone who has taken Introduction to Word or has equivalent knowledge is encouraged to register.
The cost for each course is $150. If an employee registers for the course and does not attend, they will still be charged the course fee except in cases of illness or emergency. Visit FastTrain to register or learn additional information about current courses. The fall semester class schedule is available online.
