The Patience Essah Africana Studies lecture, College of Liberal Arts School of Communication and Journalism and the Ralph Brown Draughon Library are presenting Michael Anthony Battle Sr., former US Ambassador to the African Union. His lecture, which is free and open to the public, will address recent developments in Niger, public policy, political issues and immigration on the continent of Africa. He will also discuss vulnerable populations and fake news. The lecture will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 3:30 p.m. in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library auditorium.

Ambassador Battle served in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 2009-2016 during the Obama Administration.
