The Auburn Wheelchair Basketball has been recognized by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, or NWBA, as the team of the month for October. Auburn finished the month with a record of 3-1 and won the championship of the second annual Halloween Hoops Bash held on campus at the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum the weekend of Oct. 28-29.

The Auburn University is one of 10 colleges across the country that has a wheelchair basketball team. The season runs from October to mid-March. The team plays two home tournaments a season, one each semester. All games are free of charge and played in the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The next chance to see the Auburn Wheelchair Basketball Team at home is Jan. 26-27, when they host the University of Alabama and University of Missouri.
