Notice body

The Auburn University Employee Benefits Fair will offer a “one-stop shop” for employees and their spouses/sponsored adult dependents who seek information about the university’s health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness opportunities on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Campus Recreation Center.

Representatives from more than a dozen vendors will share information about the many benefits that are available to full-time employees along with benefit updates for 2018.  They will also answer questions and provide one-on-one consultations as requested.

Vendors for this year’s fair include: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, American Behavioral, Superior Vision, Johnson and Sterling, WageWorks, Standard Insurance, VALIC, Fidelity, TIAA, Lincoln Financial, Teachers’ Retirement System, Healthy Tigers and Campus Recreation.  Attendees should also bring the event postcard that they received in campus mail, along with their Auburn University ID, to register for prizes.

Open Enrollment continues:

Open Enrollment for 2018 benefits continues until Nov. 30 at 4:45 p.m. During this time, AU employees may enroll in, cancel or make changes to their benefits elections. IRS regulations do not allow for plan enrollment beyond Nov. 30, unless there is a qualifying event during the year.

For employees who are currently enrolled in health, dental, vision and cancer insurance and who do not want to make any changes to their coverages, nothing needs to be done to continue these benefits. No action on their part will be deemed to represent their wish for their elections to carry over into 2018. However, if they are currently enrolled in the Flexible Spending Account, they must re-enroll or their FSA contributions will end as of Dec. 31.

Cancer insurance, supplemental life and disability plans:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 15: East Glenn Administrative Complex in the HR Assessment Room, 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
