The Office of University Writing continues its new Working on Writing, or WoW, Wednesdays workshop series on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in the ePortfolio Studio in Ralph Brown Draughon Library. This week’s workshop, “Reading Difficult Material,” is designed to help students stretch their reading skills to understand difficult material. Participants will learn strategies for exploring, challenging and unpacking difficult texts in writing in order to foster higher levels of reading comprehension. Students will have the opportunity to practice these strategies on texts from their own classes or research and are encouraged to bring a project to work on. Registration is recommended, but not required. For more information on all workshops in the series, visit the WoW Wednesdays event page or register online.
