Envoy Air, subsidiary of American Airlines, will be making the journey from the Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport to Auburn University Regional Airport Oct. 31. Envoy is bringing the largest passenger airplane to land and depart the airport to date, an Embraer 175.  The plane will be open to all Auburn University staff, faculty and students from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This visit from Envoy Air will kick off National Intercollegiate Flying Association, or the NIFA, SAFECON Region IX competition that will be held all week at the AU Regional Airport hosted by the War Eagle Flying Team, Auburn University’s own competitive flying team.  The Southeastern Raptor Center will be on site to showcase its fine feathered friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The festivities are free and open to the public.
