Advanced art history students in Emily Burns' class "Art of the United States" will present two exhibitions curated from selections from Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art's permanent collection. Under the guidance of Burns and museum staff, students will determine themes for the exhibitions, write didactic materials--including wall texts, label copy and exhibition brochures--and assist in the design and layout of the exhibition. The first exhibition will open Nov. 4-24, with a student research presentation on Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. The second exhibition is on view Dec. 4 through January. The research presentation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. For more on both events information, visit the program website.
