Lucius Outlaw, professor of philosophy and African American and diaspora studies at Vanderbilt University, will speak on Africana philosophy in the Ralph Brown Draughon auditorium Sept. 26, from 3:30-4:15 p.m. There will be refreshments and conversation after Outlaw’s talk.

Established in the 1980s, Africana philosophy explores the thinking, discourses and discursive networks of philosophizing efforts of persons and peoples African and of African descent.
