Human Resource Development added three more professional development classes to the fall semester schedule. These courses, which focus on University Electronic Administrative Systems, are:

• Thursday, Sept. 21, 2-4:30 p.m.: “Reading budget balances in Banner and other related budget information (CT250)”: This course is designed for new employees who will be using Banner Finance in their departments and current AU Banner Finance users as a refresher course. Participants will learn tips and tricks on reading available balances as well as comparing balances to the general ledger. Other topics include budget transfers and approval of documents. LaRae Jackson, senior accountant of Budget Services, will present the class.

• Thursday, Sept. 28, 2-4:30 p.m.: “Understanding and utilization of e-print reports (CT280)”: Participants will become more aware of the financial reports in e-print and learn how the reports can be used for more complete and effective analysis. Jackson will also present this class.

• Thursday, Nov. 9, 2:30-4:30 p.m.: “eJournal voucher user training (CT600)”: Participants will learn how to use the eJournal voucher system to process direct charges, department error corrections, and collection reports. They will also learn tips and tricks for getting the most out of the system, as well as guidance on appropriate supporting documentation and other requirements. This class is appropriate for new users as well as established users as a refresher course. Michelle Hancock, assistant controller, will present the class.
