The Office of University Writing continues its Working on Writing, or WoW, Wednesdays workshop series on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in the ePortfolio Studio at Ralph Brown Draughon Library. This week’s workshop, “Writing an Effective IRB and Avoiding Common Pitfalls,” is designed to help students, faculty and staff gain a better understanding of common writing problems in Institutional Review Board protocols, learn strategies for correcting the problems for the audience of the protocol and understand the importance of revising before you submit to the IRB review board. Participants will apply these strategies through peer review of IRB protocol drafts, or draft new IRBs. Due to the popularity of these workshops, registration is highly recommended, but not required. For more information on all workshops in the series, visit the WoW Wednesdays event page or click here to register
