The Office of Inclusion and Diversity is pleased to announce a new Inclusive Excellence Initiative designed to provide grant funds for creative proposals that advance the principles of diversity and inclusivity at Auburn University. Faculty and staff are invited to submit innovative proposals for projects that promote inclusive excellence and strengthen Auburn’s diversity efforts. The initiative will award mini-grants for the implementation of diversity and inclusion programs and research projects that support the academic mission of the university.

Successful proposals funded by the Initiative will (1) represent Auburn University’s values and principles of diversity, inclusion, excellence and community across the campus, (2) advance key institutional strategic priorities and goals, and (3) exemplify recommendations from the 2016 #AUTogether Climate Assessment process. Faculty or staff members may submit proposals on behalf of any official Auburn University department, unit, or campus organization.

Proposals will be accepted beginning Sept. 19 through Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. A selection committee will begin reviewing proposals on Oct. 20, with the program funding and implementation cycle to begin Nov. 1 and end on May 1, 2018.

Individuals interested in submitting an application can obtain additional information on the Inclusive Excellence Initiative website. For questions and additional information please contact Timothy Fair, special assistant for operations and strategic initiatives, at or 844-4184.
