Fieldwork Projects Gallery is hosting an opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. for ROMA XVII - Una Mostra d’arte, an exhibition showcasing the work of students from the Department of Art and Art History who participated in the 2017 summer study abroad trip to Italy. This multimedia group exhibition features Katie Chatham, Grace Harkin, Garrett Johnson, Hannah Chambley and Morgan Beam. The trip was led by the program’s faculty director Zdenko Krtić. The exhibition features a selection of sketchbooks (documenting and capturing students’ personal encounters and experiences of the trip), drawings, paintings and photographs inspired by Rome. The exhibition will be on view from Sept. 13-Oct. 14. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public. Fieldwork Projects Gallery is located at 420 S. Gay St.
