Members of the campus community are invited to attend the next event in the "Critical Conversations" Speaker Series as the university welcomes Howard Ross Monday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. in 2550 Mell Classroom Building. Ross, a seminal thought leader on unconscious bias and founding partner of Cook Ross, will provide a keynote address on the topic of unconscious bias followed by Q&A.

Prior to the keynote, Auburn faculty, administrators and staff are invited to participate in one of two hour-long learning sessions with Ross at 2:30 and 3:30. Both sessions are designed to provide participants with effective strategies for identifying and addressing bias inside and outside of academic settings. Each session is limited to 40 participants and registration is required. To register for a session, visit the website.

As a reminder, students, faculty and staff are invited to visit the Office of Inclusion and Diversity in 108 M.W. Smith Hall for a $5 Starbucks coffee coupon to be used at either the Student Center or Lowder Business Building locations. Participants are encouraged to share their critical conversations on social media using the hashtag #AUConvos on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. For more information on Ross and future speakers, visit the Critical Conversations website.
