Stacie Molnar-Main, educational consultant and manager of a climate improvement initiative for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, will discuss deliberation in the classroom on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Pebble Hill.

Molnar-Main is author of the new book, "Deliberation in the Classroom: Fostering Critical Thinking, Community, and Citizenship in Schools," and she will discuss how teachers around the nation are using deliberation to help students learn to think critically, work through differences and interact with people who may or may not share their point of view.

The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided. The event is sponsored by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Pebble Hill. Pebble Hill is located at 101 S.
