Auburn University will hold its “This is Research: Faculty Symposium 2017” Sept. 22 in the Student Center to recognize the research and creative scholarship of Auburn and Auburn Montgomery faculty. Two rounds of Auburn Talks are scheduled 9:30-11 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. as 12 researchers, six per session, present 10-minute talks about their work. Poster displays and a research expo are scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with 100 researchers expected to have posters. The expo will feature more than 34 tables set up by Auburn’s centers, institutes and research support offices. Two sessions of moderated, roundtable discussions with the theme, “How to Grow Our Research,” are scheduled for 2:45-3:30 p.m. and 3:45-4:30 p.m. with both sessions covering specific research topics as well as information to help researchers advance their programs. The night prior, a reception for new cluster hires will be held Sept. 21 from 4-6:30 p.m. in the marquee at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
