“As we make the transition to a new department head, I want to offer my deepest appreciation to Dr. Joe Pittman for the innumerable contributions he has made to Auburn, the College of Human Sciences and the Department of Human Development and Family Studies as a scholar, administrator, colleague and mentor during his nearly three decades of service. As he embarks upon this new life chapter, we extend to him our warmest wishes for the future and our sincerest gratitude for a job well done.”

Wiley holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio and a master’s degree and doctorate from Clark University in Massachusetts. Her entire academic career has been spent in various positions at Illinois.
