The Harrison School of Pharmacy officially opened its new Pharmaceutical Research Building earlier this month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 37,000-square-foot facility has space for 14 principal investigators and more than 80 graduate students and research assistants. It is located within Auburn's Health Sciences Sector behind the new nursing building and next to VCOM.

The facility allows pharmaceutical investigators at Auburn to do more than ever before. With state-of-the-art research facilities, offices and spaces to foster research collaborations, investigators have one of the best environments in the country to further their work.

Along with the high-tech laboratories, researchers have additional dedicated procedure rooms to work in as they battle illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, heart disease and others.
