Auburn University Libraries’ Discover Auburn Lecture Series will host a book talk on Frances Osborn Robb’s book 'Shot in Alabama: A History of Photography 1839-1941' on Wednesday, April 19 at 3 p.m. in the Caroline Marshall Draughon auditorium in Ralph Brown Draughon Library.

'Shot in Alabama' is a visual and textual narrative of Alabama’s photographic history from 1839 to 1941. It describes the phenomenon of photography as practiced in Alabama as a major cultural force, paying close attention to the particular contexts from which each image emerges and the fragments of micro-history that each image documents.

Discussion, book signings and refreshments will follow the program.
