The English as a Second Language division of the Office of International Programs will offer a course to assist non-native English speakers improve their communication.

Accent Reduction for Non-Native English Speakers is a five-week, non-credit course focusing on pitch and stress in American English pronunciation. Taught by Daniel Raffalovich, director of English as a Second Language, the course will meet March 20-April 21, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. 

Registration for the course is $100 and is limited to 10 students. Faculty, staff, students, scholars and community members are welcome. To register or for more information, contact Rachel Last at or 844-2175.
