The School of Industrial Design and Graphic Design’s annual 24-hour sustainable design competition, Designing Green, will take place March 9-10.

Events begin on the morning of March 9 in 107 Wallace Hall, with lectures by Amy Strickland from the Auburn University Office of Sustainability at 9 a.m. and Jerrod Windham, the Bauhaus Associate Professor of Industrial Design, at 10 a.m.

The competition begins at 11 a.m. when students are challenged to design a piece of furniture or an item for Wallace Hall intended for democratized manufacturing for a CNC router. Project deadline and judging will be Friday, March 10 at 11 a.m. A barbecue on Wallace lawn at noon will follow. The lectures and barbecue are free and open to the public.
