The Auburn University Community and Civic Engagement Club and the nonprofit project Higher Ground Society are hosting a film screening and panel discussion Saturday, March 25 at Langdon Hall. The featured film will be Academy Award-nominated documentary "13th", by "Selma" director Ava Duvernay. Released October 2016, the film explores the intersection of race, justice and mass incarceration in the United States. A conversation between scholars, mental health professionals, community advocates and the audience will take place immediately after the film.
