Auburn, AL – The Special Collections and Archives Department of Auburn University Libraries announces the opening of a new exhibit entitled, “Alabama Territory and Statehood Postage – Early 19th Century to 1860 - Artifacts from the John & Faye Vick Collection.”

The exhibit showcases some of the department’s postage collection relating to Alabama history. Included are items from Alabama’s early territorial history, early postal roads and maps, postmarks of A.P.I./Auburn and postmarks of various cities and towns in Alabama.

The exhibit is housed in the Special Collections and Archives area on the ground floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library and will be open to the public during all regular Special Collection and Archives hours beginning Feb. 13. The exhibit will be available until the end of 2017.
