Expert Graduate Brewing faculty at Auburn University will be teaching a short course on home brewing beginning Feb. 15. "From Grains to Glass: Home Brewing 101" will cover material excerpted from the Graduate Certificate Brewing Science and Operations program for professional brewers. Participants will gain a detailed overview of the history, styles, brewing processes, evaluation practices and food pairings for beer, as well as learn about craft and mass produced beers across the globe. The course explores important aspects of brewing and beer appreciation, giving students the confidence to start brewing on their own. Included are hands-on sessions in the brewing science lab and pilot brewery with faculty, as well as the opportunity to be guided through a brewing session where each participant can make a batch of their choosing.

More information on the course can be found online or by contacting the Office of Professional and Continuing Education at 844-5100.
