The Braveheart Center for Place and Purpose will hold an open house from 1-6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. The Braveheart Center for Place and Purpose, or BCPP, is a joint outreach program of the Department of Social Work in the College of Liberal Arts and First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. BCPP is an innovative and dynamic health and wellness program that provides adults with disabilities opportunities for creative growth and development. It creates a place sensitive to the need for safety, belonging and the benefit of daily routine through community involvement and integration. BCPP creates a purpose for its clients through community service and support, and on-going recognition of individual strengths for those who are otherwise excluded from full participation in the adult community.

More information about BCPP is available online. For more information about the open house, contact Angie Burque: burquad@auburn.edu, or 844-2834
