The Healthy Hearts Program is a study being conducted by the Auburn University Pharmaceutical Care Center, or AUPCC, the Harrison School of Pharmacy and the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Hospitality Management. The study is open to Auburn University employees (and adult sponsored dependents of employees) who currently subscribe to the Auburn University Health Insurance Plan. This study is designed to assess the impact of a nutrition program that is focused on reducing participants' risk for cardiovascular disease. Throughout the program, care will be provided by a team of pharmacists and dietitians. The goal of this study is for the participants to have improved blood pressure readings, blood glucose readings and cholesterol values. You may be eligible for this study if you have any of the following: a pre-existing diagnosis of high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, and/or a red or yellow zone value on your Healthy Tigers screening. For more information about this opportunity, contact Amy Willis at awillis@auburn.edu or the AUPCC at 844-4099.
