As the new year kicks off, Auburn University will be joining the Scale Back Alabama challenge for the 11th year of fighting the obesity crisis in the state of Alabama. Auburn University employees have an opportunity to participate on campus and help this cause. The Auburn University Pharmaceutical Care Center, or AUPCC, will be a private weigh-in site for Auburn University employees who wish to participate in the challenge. A team will consist of two participants to join the challenge. At least one team member should be an Auburn University employee. This challenge is meant to not only encourage you and a team member to lose 10 pounds in a 8-week period of time, but also to encourage you to use this challenge as a launching point to make lifestyle changes for you and your family if needed.

To get started, teams must be registered before going to weigh-in. Registration is available online. Bring a copy of your registration information with you to your weigh-in appointment.

For more information about participating in Scale Back Alabama, read the Guidelines For Participation.

Due to the high volume of participants, teams should make an appointment with the AUPCC to weigh in. Email Healthy Tigers at to schedule an appointment as soon as possible for your team. Team members should come together at the same date/time slot to weigh. Appointments to weigh in/out are usually quick so the wait time for each team should be less than 15 minutes.
