Salisa Westrick, associate professor in the Harrison School of Pharmacy's Department of Health Outcomes Research and Policy, recently received funding from the American Pharmacists Association, or APhA, for her project titled, “Pharmacists’ Role in Improving Adult Vaccination Rates.” In collaboration with the APhA, Westrick will launch the research project to identify factors associated with successful implementation of pharmacy-based immunization services. The project, which is supported by GlaxoSmithKline, will employ a mixed-method design with an in-depth interview of community pharmacists and a self-administered survey of key informants of community pharmacies in 50 states and Washington, D.C.
