As construction on the adjacent Mell Classroom Building passes the halfway point, Auburn University will close the Ralph Brown Draughon Library for nearly four weeks while crews work inside the building. The library will be closed immediately after finals conclude on Dec. 10 and will reopen Jan. 7.

The Library of Architecture, Design and Construction in Dudley Commons will be open all the hours Ralph Brown Draughon would have been open during the covered period and will be providing a place to study with research help on all subjects.

All electronic library resources will be available.

Those needing to use resources from the Ralph Brown Draughon Library during the closure should note the following important dates: 

Dec. 1: Final day to request book acquisitions.

Dec. 2: Final day for Interlibrary Loan book requests.

Dec. 6: Final day for Interlibrary Loan article requests; Final day for AUBIExpress requests.

Dec. 9: Final day to request library materials. You may request materials from the Ralph Brown Draughon and Offsite Library Archival Facility collections for your use during the closure period. Submit the form found online by 3 p.m. Indicate in the form’s comments section where to deliver the materials. For special requests contact your subject specialist.

At 6 p.m. on Dec. 9, the Ralph Brown Draughon Library doors close. No access to materials housed in Ralph Brown Draughon Library or the Offsite Library Archival Facility will be possible after this time.

Jan. 7, 2017: Ralph Brown Draughon Library reopens at 9 a.m. and resumes regular spring semester hours.
