Andrew Seybold Sr., chief executive officer and principal analyst at Andrew Seybold, Inc., will be speaking in conjunction with the Ginn Lecture Series on Friday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. in 1120 Shelby Center for Engineering Technology.

Seybold will examine trends in mobile technology and convergence in a discussion of “the new stewards of the radio spectrum”.

Seybold has been involved in the wireless industry for more than 35 years and has shaped initiatives for corporate leaders including Verizon, Nokia, AT&T, Motorola and Qualcomm. His firm has provided wireless consulting and education services for startups and Fortune 1000 companies, including Dow Chemical, Ford Motor Company and Microsoft.

In 1995, he co-founded Andrew Seybold Wireless University which has been attended by thousands of industry professionals and has provided the most in-depth educational program of its kind in the wireless industry.

Seybold earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northwest University and holds multiple Federal Communications Commission licenses.

The Ginn Lecture Series presentation will include opening remarks from college namesake Samuel Ginn and Christopher Roberts, dean of the College of Engineering. The event is free and open to the public.
