The public is invited to “The Ties That Bind: A Symposium on Slavery” on Thursday, Nov. 10, and Friday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities at Pebble Hill. Pebble Hill is located at 101 S. Debardeleben St. in Auburn.

The symposium will feature Anthony Carey, Appalchian State University; Hilary Green, University of Alabama; Rosephanye Powell, Auburn University and Terrance D. Vickerstaff, family historian. The symposium will conclude with a family history fair at the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, formerly Ebenezer Baptist Church, and guided tours of Baptist Hill Cemetery.
