Research indicates that well-designed active learning results in greater success for students. But what is “well-designed active learning” and how will you know if you have achieved it before the evaluations roll in at the end of the semester?  The workshop, “Is it Working? How to Assess Active Learning Before the End of the Semester,” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, from noon until 1 p.m. in 246 Foy Hall. In this session, attendees will discuss how to assess if active learning is working before the end of the semester, and share “just-in-time” tweaks, tips and strategies to help navigate bumps in the road. Faculty are encouraged to bring their own lunch as well as a mobile device to use during the workshop. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
