The countdown to the opening of the Mell Classroom Building and Ralph Brown Draughon Library renovation is on. Faculty and GTAs who have participated in Engaged, Active, Student Learning, or EASL, development opportunities in the last three years will have priority scheduling to teach in the state-of-the art classrooms.

Those interested in being in the group for priority scheduling are invited to attend the third annual fall break EASL retreat in the Sciences Center Classroom Building on Friday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. In this "choose your own adventure" workshop, participants may opt for sessions on active learning in either large lecture or small group/team-based learning formats. Coffee and tea will be served in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. Register online by Friday, Oct. 7.
