The Auburn University School of Kinesiology is bringing the Neon Vibe glow-in-the-dark 5K color-run to campus Saturday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Student Center green space. After the race is the After Vibe Party on the green space with music, prizes and more. This featured Welcome Week event is for people of all ages and abilities. Registration is available online.

This outreach event helps support the School of Kinesiology’s annual “Abilities Unlimited” 3-week summer camp for children with and without developmental disabilities. The camp, led by assistant professor Melissa Pangelinan, is for youth ages 5-12 years old and for counselors in training ages 13-22 years old. The goal of the camp is to build motor competence and confidence, as well as social, cognitive and life skills. Children learn how to ride a bike, swim and be physically active alongside their peers.
