A training session on campus safety and active shooter response will be offered for students on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Foy Auditorium. The training provides an overview of safety devices on campus, preparing for emergencies and options during an incident involving an active shooter. Topics discussed include evacuation considerations, methods to secure and barricade doors to slow down an aggressor's entry and as a last resort, how to counter an attack in order to get away to safety.
