A short course on home brewing will be taught this fall by expert Graduate Brewing faculty at Auburn University. The short course will cover material excerpted from the Graduate Certificate Brewing Science and Operations program for professional brewers. Participants will gain a detailed overview of the history, styles, brewing processes, evaluation practices and food pairings for beer, as well as learn about craft and mass produced beers the world over. The short course will cover the most important aspects of brewing and beer appreciation and will allow participants to start brewing their own fine beers with confidence. Included are hands-on sessions in the brewing science lab and pilot brewery with faculty, as well as the opportunity to be guided through a brewing session where each participant can make a batch of their choosing.
