Amy Wright, the Harry G. Ponder Endowed Professor of Horticulture in Auburn University’s Department of Horticulture, has been named interim associate dean for instruction in the College of Agriculture. Her appointment is effective May 16. The college launched an internal search for an interim associate dean in February, after Paul Patterson, who had served as the associate dean for instruction since 2009, was named dean of the college and director of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station. Wright joined the Auburn faculty as assistant professor of landscape horticulture in 2002 and attained full-professor status in 2013. She will serve in the interim position until a soon-to-begin national search for a continuing associate dean for instruction is completed. [Read more]
